Not every book of the Bible tells us exactly what it is about. Sometimes, there isn’t even just one thing the author is trying to communicate. But when the Apostle John set out to write his account of the life and ministry of Jesus, he was clear in his objective: "so that you may believe." Believe in what, exactly? Well, that Jesus is the Messiah. That Jesus is the one who has come to redeem us. That Jesus is the source of life.

We created this study guide to help you deepen your understanding of and love for God’s word. It is designed to pair with Walnut Creek Church’s sermon series through the Gospel of John. Our hope is that you take time to study each passage for yourself, hear God’s word preached at church, and talk about it with others throughout the week.
